|Adona and Cherono win men’s and women’s RomaOstia 2017 to lead a complete dominance of DAP’s represented athletes|
Another extraordinary edition of RomaOstia. The 43rd edition brought together over 12 thousand athletes to cross the finishing line fixed at Ostia Round About. As predicted, the race was dominated by African athletes contingent who imposed their rhythm right from the start.
Demadonna’s Idemo Guye Adola of Ethiopia was the first one in the men’s race to reach the finish line in a time of 59’18”. Behind him another Demadonna’s represented athlete, Kangogo Justus Kipkogei from Kenya who completed his race in 59’31”; his new personal best over the distance.
Very beautiful women’s race with complete sweep for Demadonna Athletic Promotions athletes, and where the favorite, Glady Cherono of Kenya, was able to maintain the expectations by creating a comfortable gap behind her and reach the finish line with her arms in air stopping the cloak in 1h07’01”.
Compatriot Angela Tanui kept her company until the last stretch of the race but in the end she had to settle for a runner up position with a time of 1h07'43", while Ethiopia’s Medessa Aselefech Mergia was third in 1h08'46".
Always on Sunday 12 March our Melesech Tsegaye Beyene of Ethiopia claimed second in the women’s race when reaching the line in 2h26’44” at the Barcelona Marathon.
