DAP’s Norah Jeruto’s of Kenya continues her late season great form with yet another victory at the Zagreb Meeting on Tuesday 29

norah zagrebThe performance of the night on the track came courtesy of Demadonna’s represented Norah Jeruto in the women’s 3000 meters steeplechase. The 21-year-old Kenyan won the 3000m steeplechase at the 67th edition of the Hanzekovic Memorial, an IAAF World Challenge Meeting cloaking 9’04’56.

From the moment Jeruto took over from the pace makers with four laps to go, she started a serious race against the clock. One lap later she has already created a five seconds gap over her nearest pursuer, and the margin kept on growing over the following lap.

Jeruto’s effort continued over the final lap before she powered across the finish line in 9’04’56, slightly outside her personal best of 9’03”70 set in Berlin just over 48 hours earlier. She won by more than 15 seconds margin over compatriot Daisy Jepkemei, also represented by Demadonna Athletic Promotions, who reached the finish line in a personal best of 9’19”.
