DAP's Boru Feyse Tadese and Adera Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia take second and third in the women's and men's 2018 Dubai Marathon

dubai2018Incredible results at the 2018 Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon: Seven men under 2h05' ; Four women under 2h20' and two more under 2h21'; therefore, if you stayed up late (or got up early, depending on where you live) to watch the Dubai Marathon, you were rewarded with perhaps the most unbelievable, but certainly the deepest race in the history of marathon running.

The fastest third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh place finishers in history — in the men’s and women’s races.

However our focus goes to last year’s champion and pre-race favorite Demadonna's Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia, who this year was held to only third place despite running his personal best of 2h04’06’’, trailing compatriots Mosinet Geremew and Leul Gebresilase first and second in 2h04'00" and 2h04'02".

In the women's race, our Boru Feyse Tadese of Ethiopia claimed a second position reaching the finish line in a personal best of 2h19’30’’. Like in the men's race, the women's race saw al all Ethipian podium led by Roza Dereje in first place in 2h19'17". Yebrgual Melese completed the podium in third place with a time of 2h19'36.

Out of the podium in the women's race our Worknesh Degefa. She finished fourth in a personal best of 2h19’53’’, while Sisay Lemman was fifth in the men's race also reaching the finsh line in a new personla best of 2h04’08’’.
