Demadonna's Dickson Chumba of Kenya captures a convincing victory at the Tokyo Marathon on Sunday 25

chumba tokyoAfter winning here in 2015, Demadonna's represented Dickson Chumba of Kenya returns to Tokyo Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label road race, and captures a convincing victory clocking 2h05'30" on Sunday 25.

Chumba’s winning time of 2h05'30" was the second best performance of the race ever, behind the course record of 2h03'58" set by Wilson Kipsang last year.

“Although I missed running under 2h05', I am happy with the time and the winning,” said Chumba. “Next year, I would like to come back and run 2h04'.” He concluded.

Second place for home based Yuta Shitara who crossed the finish line in 2h06'11", Japanese national record. To complete the podium in third place was Kenya's Amos Kipruto, also represented by DAP. He reached the finish line in 2h06'33".
