DAP's Shitaye Eshete of Bahrain and Belarus's Volha Mazuronak win women's Haspa Hamburg and Düsseldorf Marathon cloaking 2h24'51" and 2h25’25’’ respectively, on Sunday 29

eshete hamburgEthiopia's born Habtegebrel Shitaye Eshete, now representing Bahrain, dominated the women's Haspa Marathon Hamburg taking the victory in a time of 2h24'51". She was followed by former compatriot Birke Debele from Ethiopia who clocked 2h25'28" at the line for a second position, while debutant Mimi Belete, who now competes for Bahrain, was third with a chrono time of 2h26'06".

 

mazuronak volhaAt the METRO Marathon Düsseldorf, Demadonna's Volha Mazuronak produced a top performance dominating the race.  The Belorussian athlete, top European finisher in fifth place in the 2016 Olympic Marathon in Rio, ran a women’s course record of 2h25'25" to take the first position, with German's Fabienne Amrhein taking a surprise second position far back in 2h32'35". Kenyan's Rose Maru finished third in 2h33'55".

In the Healthy Kidney 10k 2018 road race, held New York, USA always on sunday 29, second place for our Medessa, Aselefech Mergia of Ethiopia with a time of 32'06''.
