July Results for DAP Represented Athletes

 

Demadonna's Netsanet Gudeta of Ethiopia won the women's 2018 Bogota Half Marathon on Sunday 29 . The Ethiopian dominated the race winning by more than four minutes gap in 1h11'34" over Brigid Kosgei, 1h14'40 and Degitu Azimerav, 1h14'51" second and third respectively.

Gudeta's performance is worthy of our note given Bogota's setting at 2600m above sea level, and the day's sunny, hot and windy conditions.

In the men's race DAP's Dickson Chumba, of Kenya claimed third position with a time of 1h05'23", the same chrono time given to Feyisa Lilesa, runner up. The race was won by Ethiopia's Betesfa Getahun in 1h05'10".

At the London Diamond League stage held in London on Saturday July 21st, our Awel Muktar Edriss of Ethiopia took second position in the men's 5000 meters crossing the finish line in 13'14"35. He trailed Paul Chelimo of USA first in 13'14"01.

At the Bellinzona Meeting held on Wednesday July 18th in Bellinzona Switzerland, Demadonna's Bouqantar Soufiyane of Morocco and Bekele Telahun Haile of Ethiopia claimed first and second position in the men's 3000 meters reaching the finish line with a time of 7'42"24 and 7'42"81 respectively.

Kitilit Jonathanm of Kenya finished first in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1'44"38, while compatriot Kipkoech Nicholas was second in 1'45"82.

Last but not least our Agnes Tirop always from Kenya took the first position in the women's 5000 meters completing the distanc in a time of 14'36"13.
