DAP's Yemaneberhan Crippa produces a breathtaking final sprint to take bronze in the men's 10.000m at the European Athletics Championships

Tuesday August 07 - Demadonna's represented Yemaneberhan Crippa, of Italy, produced an impressive final sprint reaching the finish line in 28'12"15 to take bronze medal in the men's 10,000 meters at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin, first medal for the Italian team in this competinion.

Crippa who lives in Trento and represents the Fiamme Oro, crossed the finish line behind Morhad Amdouni of France first in 28'11"22 and Bashir Abdi from Belgium third in 28'11"76.

"I felt confident until the last 150 meters when I was fourth or fifth: I told myself I had to take the medal". Said Crippa, originally from Ethiopia. "For me this is my first medal after the Mediterranean Games, I'm so happy, I was amazed at my first 10,000m: Saturday in the 5,000 I want to do my best as I did today". He concluded.
