DAP and Kenyan’s victory for Cheprot at Corrida de Langueux - Frace On Saturday June 13


Kenya’s Simon Cheprot won the 25th edition of the Corrida de Langueux, an IAAF Bronze Label Road Race, covering the two-lap 10km course around the Breton town in a time of 28’05 on Saturday (13).

The men's contest started with Cheprot taking control of the race after the leading pack went through the first 5km in 13’55. He was out on his own for most of the second lap before clocking the third-fastest winning time in the history of the race.

“I’m really happy to have won the race," said Cheprot. "I felt great today so I made sure I gave the race everything from start to finish and it paid off." He continued.

The women’s race was a close affair. Our Cherono Priscah Jepleting emerged as a runner up in a race won by compatriot Gladys Yator in a course record and personal best of 31’40”. In third place the Ethiopian Bekelech Daba.

Over 40,000 runners from 21 countries and regions participate in the 2015 Lanzhou International Marathon, which is held in Lanzhou, northwest China's Gansu province, on June 13, Our focus goes to the women's race with our Nguriatukei Rael Kiyara of Kenya emerging as winner when crossing the finish line with a time of 2h31’22”. With her time she broke the marathon's previous record.

The 2015 Lanzhou International Marathon is the fifth consecutive marathon held in Lanzhou. The first one has been held in 2011.
