Demadonna’s Jepkemei Daisy wins the women’s 3000 meters steeplechase at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku – Finland June 13


deisyNot even cold weather could dampen the mood of athletes taking part at the Paavo Nurmi Stadium during the first IAAF World Challenge meeting held at the stadium on Tuesday June 13.

Our Daisy Jepkemei of Kenya was the fastest in the women’s 3000m steeplechase cloaking 9’31”98 at the 55th edition of Paavo Nurmi Games.

Bahrain Winfred Yavi held on for a second place finish way back in 9’33”29, while Kenya’s Norah Tanui completed the podium in 9’33”97.


Huelva Meeting Iberoamericano de Atletismo

dorcusElsewhere during the Huelva Meeting staged in Huelva - Spain on Wednesday 14Th, Demadonna’s represented Ajok Docus of Uganda claimed the first position crossing the finish line in a personal best of 2’00”79. She was followed in second position by Spain’s Esther Guerrero in 2’01”57 and Morocco’s Malika Akkaoui third in 2‘01”79.

Ajok Docus’s victory at Huelva sums up to tree triumphs in as many races after her victorious debut in Andujar, and later on in Montbéliard.
