Demadonna's Tanui Norah of Kenya cruises in 8'59"62 in the women's 3000m steeplechase at the final leg of the 2018 IAAF Diamond League season in Brussels

The 2018 IAAF Diamond League season comes to an end with the Memorial Van Damme Diamond League meeting in great fashion today August 31st.

However, our focus goes to the women's 3000 meters steeplechase which featured our Tanui Norah from Kenya capable of covering the distance in a new personal best of 8'59"62 to take the second position. Tunui finished the race behind her compatriot Beatrice Chepkoech, who finished first with a time of 8'55"10. In third place and completing a 1, 2 and 3 for Kenya was Hyvin Kiyeng in 9'01"60.

At the ISTAF meeting held in Berlin on Sunday September 2nd, DAP's represented Jepkemei Daisy took second place in the women's 3000 meters steeplechase reaching the finish line in 9’14’’66, while Nelly Jepkosgei was third in the women's 1000 meters with a time of 2’35’’30.


Last but not least, first place for Demadonna's Agnes Tirop of Kenya at the Tilburg Ladies 10k road race which took place in Netherlands on Sunday September 2nd.

Tirop continued with her brilliance performance shown this season, leading her fellow runners to cross the first the 5km mark in 15'29". She was followed closely by Ethiopia's  Tsehay Gemechu and Stella Chesang from Uganda, but at the end it was Tirop to hold on and reach the tape first in 30'50". Gemechu took second place in 31'07" with Chesang closing the podium in third place with a time of 31'44".
