Demadonna's Kaptui Lawi of Kenya takes the victory in men's race at Le Marathon Vert in 2h08’30’’ on Sunday 28

lawi kiptuiKenya's Lawi Kiptui was the winner of the eighth edition of Le Marathon Vert held in Rennes, France on Sunday when crossing the finish line in a personal best of 2h08’30’’.

Kiptui who had won the Stockholm Marathon early this year, and Lyon Marathon last year, reached the finish line ahead of Ethiopia's Dechase Chala, second in 2h09'15; while compatriot Letting Dominic rounded up the podium in third place with a time of 2h09'30".

At The Valencia Alfonso Half Marathon where the public witnessed a new male world record set by Abraham Kiptum of Kenya who reached the finish line first with a time of 58'18", the fastest time ever recorded in the distance.

Out of the podium but great performance for all DAP team: For example Berta Andamlak was fourth in 59'19" and Simon Cheprot 8th in 59'28"

In the women's race however, our attention goes to our Alia Mohammed Saeed, from United Arab Emirates, who finished second in a national record time of 1h06'13" just two seconds benhind Ethiopia's Gelete Burka, first in 1h06'11". Pre-race favourite Chelimo had to settle for third place in 1h06'17".

Last but not least at the Marseille-Cassis Road Race (20k) held in France always on Sunday 28, first place for DAP's represented Olika Adugna of Ethiopia in the men's race. He crossed the finish line with a time of 60'29".
