Victory for DAP's Mwetich Silas and Mutgaa Racheal Jemutai, both from Kenya, at the Hannover Marathon 2019 in both men and women's race respectively


racheal mutgaa hanoverKenyan's debutant Silas Mwetich won the 29th edition of the men's Hannover Marathon, and Racheal Mutgaa took the victory in the womens race.

Taking advantage of the excellent weather conditions, Mwetich completed the 42 kilometers in a personal best of 2h09'37", reaching the finish line ahead of compatriot Hosea Kipkemboi, second in 2h10'40" and Ethiopian's Debas Alebachew Wale third in a time of 2h10'57".

Racheal Mutgaa instead set a new course record and personal best when stopping the chrono in 2h26'15" in the women's race, improving the previous course record by almost a minute. Second and third place for Tigist Memuye Gebeyahu and Karolina Nadolska with a time of 2h27'35" and 2h27'43" respectively.

At the 2019 Rotterdam Marathon on Sunday April 07, second place for Demadonna's represented Ozbilen Kaan Kigen, originally from Kenya now representing Turkey, who cloaked a new personal best and National record of 2h05'26", thus moving to second position on the European all-time list behind Mo Farah. Ozbilen finished behind Kenya's Marius Kipserem who closed the race in a tine of 2h04'11".
