Demadonna's Kandie cruises in 57’32’’ smashing the half marathon world record in Valencia

 

kandie kibiwott valenciaHMKenya's Kibiwott Kandie represented by DAP clocks 57'32" to smash the world record in the half marathon, at the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso EDP Half Marathon on Sunday (6).

Kibiwott who finished second at the World Half Marathon Championships in Gdynia, Poland took off 29 seconds from the previous record of 58'01" set by Geoffrey Kamworor in 2019.

Valencia circuit is known as the best in the world for achieving great race times and setting records, intact this year the race produced an incredible performance with the next three finishers, Jacob Kiplimo of Uganda, 57'37" and the Kenyan duo Rhonex Kipruto, 57'49" and Alexander Mutiso, 57'59", all dipped under the previous record.

With today's performance sums to five world record set in Valencia in 2020.
