Wilson Kiprop wins the Rock'n Roll Lisbon Half Marathon 2013

Kenya’s Wilson Kiprop took one second off the course record when he clocked 1:00:19 to win the race at the Rock’n’Roll Lisbon Half Marathon in Portugal on Sunday October 06; thus confirming himself to be one of the best athlete in the distance.

Kiprop was in the lead almost from the gun and was part of a three-man group, which included Eritrea's Goitom Kifle and Kenya's Simon Cheprot. They went through the 10km mark in a quick time of 28:20. “I told you before that I expected a fast race, with a lot of very strong competitors, and I said we can make history. I think that if I had more help, maybe with a pacemaker, we could run under one hour," said Kiprop at the end of the race.

Always in Lisbon, October 6, but this time over the 41km first and second places for, our two Kenyan athletes, Agnes Kiprop and Helena Kirop who are able to rise to the highest step of 2013 Rock'n'Roll Lisbon Marathon podium crossing the finish line in 2h31'15'' and 2h32'07'' respectively. The two runners were far from their personal best caused by a particularly high heat during the race.
